Pacific Poker is operated by Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Ltd. which also owns and operates Casino-on-Net since 1996. On the positive side, there are very juicy limit hold'em games on Pacific Poker, where the view flop percentage in full ring games often is in the 60-ies and 70-ies. This alone makes the site worth a while for the limit hold'em player looking for a good hourly win rate.

On the negative side, there is quite a lot. Only limit games are provided. The software is a bit on the slow side and the graphics leaves room for major improvement. Also the bonus offer of $50, and promotions are not good. (You have to wager 20 times the bonus amount, in order to receive the bonus!) The traffic is very concentrated to the hold'em games, so if you are looking for Omaha, seven-card stud or tournament - look elsewhere.
Pacific Poker is one of my favorite online poker rooms for a variety of reasons. It's a poker room with a wide range of betting limits to accommodate low and high-stakes players, a great reputation for reliability, a top-notch playing experience, and some great technical features, including a no-download playing option.

The game play at Pacific Poker is fairly good but does have a few drawbacks. One is the speed in which the cards are dealt. The cards are dealt out at a much slower pace than other sites, which in turn creates less hands per hour. Some people may enjoy the slower speed because it allows you more time to think. If you're a new player, Pacific Poker could be a good fit for you. The "call/fold/raise" buttons are simple to see and use and players chip stacks are always in clear view. You will never have to worry about their server going down or their system crashing: They work hard at maintaining a smooth, problem-free gaming environment. The cards are very clear and I would recommend Pacific Poker to any new players who want to really get a look at how the online poker game takes place.
